Tzvi Avni's Three-Legged Monster is a musical story for children, in which they follow the adventures of twin violins in their search for a mysterious three-legged creature that makes a crashing noise.

The text, written by Hanna Yaddor-Avni, introduces children to the various instruments in the orchestra, and reveals that the loud three-legged monster is in fact... a piano!

The music is written for orchestra, piano and narrator.

Prominent Israeli artist Lucy Elkivity created illustrations for The Three-Legged Monster, which may be displayed as part of its performance.

The work was recorded and released on VHS featuring narration by Nitza Shaul.
